This week, the coffee news features such exciting stories as:

  • Consumers think sustainability initiatives have been good for farmers. Farmers don’t.
  • The organization that tracks how much coffee is stored in US port warehouses suddenly stopped publishing that data, leaving analysts, traders, and roasters in the dark.
  • Italy’s “hallowed coffee culture” is being eyed up by international coffee brands eager to expand into a country not known for being welcoming to international coffee brands.
