Quite a slow week, news-wise, but there was still time for:

  • The National Coffee Association to release its spring trends report, which found that—shock—people like drinking coffee
  • An attempt by US lawmakers, led by delegates from Hawaii, to boost the scope of coffee pest and disease research
  • Starbucks to fire Lexi Rizzo, credited with “igniting the Starbucks Workers United union campaign.”
